I brush my teeth, eat breakfast, say goodbye to my parents and sister, and go to school.

I hate it when it’s too hot, I love rain and cold- I have preferences just like anyone else in the world. I love my family and friends, and I also love reading, sports, scouts…

I have two eyes and two hands, and even two legs- which all work well and for that I’m grateful. I have to ears, and I use them quite a lot for music.

I’m pretty regular, I think. Just a human, like most of the people I know.

So I don’t get it… There are so many people like me, of almost any religion and any nation, so how come so many people are racists?

They have never met me, but still I’m some sort of monster, just because I’m a Jew, or an Israeli, which ever one they hate more. I can’t find any logic in it. I could find so many flaws in their religion and nation, but even so it doesn’t mean I hate them all, because I believe in the human race and its ability to improve, but some people just spread hate around them.

And what especially mystifies me are people who claim they hate all Jews/Israelis because we are racist. It’s not true, but let’s say it is; they are racists because racism is a bad thing?

And sometimes it actually hurts… I see for example my little sister, a eight years old little girl. She loves music and is so creative, she sings all day, and always hugs and kisses the family and plays, spreading smiles all around. The worst thing she has done was get mad when she was told to go to sleep… And huge numbers of people all around the world would love her dead (or even to do it themselves). It makes me so frustrated and angered. All the wonderful things here, the nature, so many beautiful people and friends, just people… Before anything else they are human, and being a human isn’t a fault, nor is being Israeli or Jewish.

And… “You are making a choice to live like this”- all racists. You claim you want peace, but hating a whole nation is the quickest way into war.
And imagine that little girl was your sister… Imagine all the humans you loved were hated bby so many… You blame us for protecting ourselves? Well then, let me tell you something:
We don’t have to sit and apologize while people murder our world with words of hate and acts of hypocrisy.

I just wish I could light up the sky for all these people I love, and that you could find a light to open your eyes and get out or racism…

These were amazing five days. There were harder parts, calmer parts, fun parts, studying…
The main goal of this five day trip, or course, is to teach the scouts of ninth grade to be good scouts of the adult layer; tenth grade to the thirteenth. At those years, the scout becomes a true member of the youth movement and becomes more effective. As part of the older layer, the course has more intent studies of how to be a counselor.
I had a most amazing counselor! I have had a wonderful and amazing counselor through the whole year, and she taught me most, but in these five days thanks to this counselor I have actually understood that I should be a counselor my self and pretty much got over my fear of leading an activity to a group. I wish I could thank him better than just words! Both of them!
I learned so much…
At the third day we had a three hour walk to a sort of forest in which we slept. The funny part is that on the way back to where we started- it was only two minutes XD I found that amusing, but there were also some who got angered in a way ^^”
I met a lot of new people. They were all so nice and special 8] I also had the friend from my tribe (Tribe Idan: White, Blue, and Orange forever!) of the scouts with me, and I’m defiantly very happy she was with me. We were together pretty much all the time. I’m sorry for the times I annoyed her… But we were together all the time anyways… 8P Love you <3
At the end, at the ceremony, we got a counseling diploma (which also helps find a job if needed), and the third patch out of three which clarify we passed the counseling course this year. My whole family came to the ceremony- it was great, and also the one who is my counselor this year came. My friend and I crashed her with hugs; my family got better hugs after I got cleaned. We sang lots of morals, and let ourselves go crazy with the happiness.
My group was also responsible for a fire writing which burned at the back, saying:”The north does with love” (I’m part of the scouts of the northern part of Israel).
I returned home tired, with a crooked voice, dirty, with mosquito bites all over me, and very happy. ^^
Good luck to all of us! 8] And like my counselor said, the main thing is: “Be yourselves”!

To say the truth, I still have no idea how to work this thing. Never thought of opening my own blog, but…

I do love my country- Israel. And I do hope this will help show it’s not some third world country, and not a desert, not a place in which people suffer, and not a place which is only one big mess and war.

My Israel?

It’s home, and a home which I would trade for nothing- even if I was given the chance (and I already proved that, when I chose to come back here and not to stay in the U.S.A, even though it’s a It’s a too).
It’s a place where most of the people I love so dearly live.
It’s the place in which I can get in twenty minutes to the sea, about an hour to snow, around my area all green, and a little more than two hours desert like view.
It’s a place in which I can go on a trip, and then go to Tel Aviv if I want to be in a beautiful very advanced city and see how technology has advanced all around.
I can study, I can have fun, I can be a patriot, I can believe or not believe in God, and I can be myself- a Jew, without fearing anyone, since I have my own country to protect me.

And in this blog I hope to get my chance to tell you everything about my Israel, from the point of view of just another teenager, just like you- wherever it is you live.

So that’s all for now, since just like any other teenager, I have homework waiting 8/ (OK, well, the ones who do their home work 8P Bet the ones who don’t have more time for fun XD).

Will write again soon 8]
